Orlando Magic Re-Sign Trevelin Queen to Two-Way Contract
The Orlando Magic have re-signed guard Trevelin Queen to a two-way contract, as announced today by President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman. Per team policy, the terms of the agreement remain undisclosed.
Queen, a 6’6” guard from Glen Burnie, Maryland, played in 14 games for the Magic last season, averaging 2.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 11.8 minutes per game. He also made a significant impact in the NBA G League with the Osceola Magic, where he started in 19 games and averaged 22.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 2.26 steals in 33.8 minutes per game. Queen’s impressive performance earned him spots on the 2023-24 All-NBA G League Second Team and the NBA G League All-Showcase Team. He also shone during NBA All-Star Weekend, being named MVP of the 2024 NBA G League Up Next Game.
Undrafted out of college, Queen has appeared in 31 career NBA regular season games with Houston, Indiana, and Orlando, averaging 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 10.0 minutes per game. In the G League, he has competed in 77 regular-season games (59 starts) with Rio Grande Valley, Fort Wayne, and Osceola, boasting career averages of 20.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.29 steals per game. Notably, Queen was named the 2021-22 NBA G League Most Valuable Player and led Rio Grande Valley to the 2022 G League championship, where he earned Finals MVP honors.
Queen will continue to wear #12 for the Orlando Magic as he looks to build on his strong performances at both the NBA and G League levels.
Orlando Magic Sign Mac McClung to Two-Way Contract
The Orlando Magic have officially signed guard Mac McClung to a two-way contract, announced today by President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman. Per team policy, the terms of the agreement remain undisclosed.
McClung, a 6’2” guard from Gate City, Virginia, initially joined the Magic on September 19. During the preseason, he appeared in two games, averaging 4.0 points, 1.0 assist, and 1.0 block in 7.5 minutes per game.
A standout in the NBA G League last season, McClung played for the Osceola Magic, where he led the league with an impressive 25.7 points per game, along with 6.6 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.26 steals in 35.4 minutes per game. He shot 50.9% from the field, 39.6% from three-point range, and 84.3% from the free throw line. McClung’s outstanding performance earned him the 2023-24 NBA G League Most Valuable Player award and All-NBA G League First Team honors. Additionally, he wowed fans at NBA All-Star Weekend, winning the Slam Dunk Contest for the second consecutive year.
Despite going undrafted, McClung has gained NBA experience, appearing in four regular-season games with Chicago, the L.A. Lakers, and Philadelphia, averaging 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 16.3 minutes per game. In the NBA G League, he has competed in 86 games (82 starts) across four teams, boasting career averages of 21.9 points, 6.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.21 steals per game.
Before his professional career, McClung played collegiate basketball at Georgetown University and Texas Tech University. In two seasons with Georgetown, he averaged 14.2 points per game and earned a spot on the Big East All-Freshman Team in 2018-19. He later transferred to Texas Tech, where he averaged 15.5 points per game during the 2020-21 season.
McClung now returns to the Osceola Magic with the opportunity to continue showcasing his talents and contributing to both the G League and NBA levels.
