Trent Pennington
Trent Pennington is the Assistant General Manager for the Osceola Magic and a scout for the Orlando Magic, where he oversees daily team operations, managing both staff and players, and plays a vital role in roster construction and player personnel decisions, shaping the organization’s future.
His professional journey began with internships at Exclusive Sports Group and DistinXion, Inc., where he was eventually promoted to a full-time position. He then served as a Basketball Operations Intern with the Indiana Pacers, gaining essential insights into the sports industry.
Pennington holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Public Policy and a Master’s degree in Sport Management from Indiana University. Among his achievements, he was part of the team that won the 2021 NBA G League Championship, a testament to his impact on the organization’s success.
Raised in Indiana, where basketball is a way of life, Pennington's passion for the game began early, fueling his commitment to helping young athletes and staff develop professionally, which makes the G League a natural career fit.
