February 1, 2024 — The Osceola Magic lost to the Ontario Clippers at Osceola Heritage Park 127-108 Thursday night.

After missing the last two games, Mac McClung scored a team-high 24 points and shot an efficient 62% (10-16) from the field in his return to the court.

“The most important thing is to stay together as a group,” Osceola Magic Head Coach Dylan Murphy said. “During the season, you go up and down. When you’re in that downswing, you have to believe in each other and come together. We play extremely hard every night; tonight wasn’t our night, but we keep fighting.”

Myron Gardner also contributed 17 points off the bench, shooting 60% (3-5) from deep.

“We never gave up,” Gardner said. “Every night that we go out there, we are going to fight. I’m blessed to be in the situation I’m in; I have great leaders like Mac [McClung] and Kevon [Harris]. My teammates have really helped me grow throughout my rookie year.”

Osceola and Ontario fought throughout the first half as Ontario took a 61-57 lead into the locker room. However, the Clippers seized control in the third quarter, outscoring the Magic 40-27. Despite shooting an impressive 51.4% from the field, the Magic’s turnover struggles proved insurmountable, committing a total of 23 giveaways in the loss.

The Osceola Magic (7-7), NBA G League Affiliate of the Orlando Magic, will host the Maine Celtics, Sunday, February 4 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee at 3 p.m. for their Black History Celebration game.
