The Story:

The Magic have hit the halfway mark on their 10-game road trip. After a stop in Windy City, Osceola sits at 5-2 overall and has gone 4-1 over the first portion of their trip. Including the Tip-Off Tournament, the Magic have gone 8-4 away from Osceola Heritage Park. Since they began playing each other in 2021-22, the Magic have gone 5-3 on the road against the Squadron, including a series-split last season during Tip-Off Tournament play.

Osceola and Birmingham split their two previous games this season on November 14 and 16. The Magic set a franchise-record with a 43-point win on the 14th. Javonte Smart scored a team-high 26 points off the bench while Orlando Robinson recorded a 17-point, 14-rebound double-double in the win.

Led by Alex Morales, Reece Beekman and Justin Minaya, the Osceola defense has been a force to be reckoned with. Morales and Beekman both rank in the top-10 in the league in both steals per game (2.9 and 2.6) and total steals (20 and 18). Minaya has also been keeping opponents off the scoreboard by turning away 14 shots, tied for seventh most in the league, second amongst non-centers.
