March 5, 2024 —The Osceola Magic fell to the Maine Celtics 122-106 Tuesday at Osceola Heritage Park.

Jett Howard led the Magic with a team-high 20 points in the loss.

“It's hard to come back when you're down by 17,” head coach Dylan Murphy said. “When you have to make a big run to come back in the game, it's hard to make a second run so that you can take control of it. The first quarter hurt us, but our guys fought, and that's what they always do. When things get hard, it's easy to let go of the rope, but our guys are out there battling every night.”

Osceola stayed within striking distance in the first half, trailing 63-61 at the break. They took a brief lead in the second half, but the Magic couldn’t sustain the momentum needed to pull out a victory.

Trevelin Queen contributed 18 points, five rebounds and five assists in the game, while the Magic's bench outscored the Celtics 34-26.

“We didn't do the right things that help us win,” Queen said. “We need to protect the ball on our offensive possessions. When you have a game like this, you need to learn from it. I'm here to help this team and make sure we are prepped for the playoffs. I'm trying to bring the energy every night for our team.”

The Osceola Magic (14-8), NBA G League Affiliate of the Orlando Magic, will face the College Park Skyhawks, Friday, March 8 at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia, at 7 p.m. The game will stream on NBAGLeague.com
