OSCEOLA MAGIC ACQUIRE PATRICK GARDNER FROM LONG ISLAND NETS

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Dec. 26, 2024) - The Osceola Magic have acquired center Patrick Gardner from the Long Island Nets in exchange for forward Tre Scott, General Manager of Osceola Magic Kevin Tiller announced today.
Gardner (6’11”, 250, 6/16/99) joined the Nets prior to the 2023-24 G League season. During the 2024 Tip-Off Tournament, he appeared in 14 games (6 starts) for Long Island, averaging 7.9 ppg., 6.0 rpg. and 1.0 apg. in 16.5 minpg.
The Egyptian big man started his college career at Division II Saint Michael’s College in 2021-22 and started all 23 games he appeared in. Gardner averaged 20.2 ppg., 10.2 rpg. and 1.7 apg. in 30.2 minpg. He transferred to Division I Marist College for the 2022-23 season and started all 33 games while averaging 19.1 ppg., 6.6 rpg. and 1.9 apg. in 30.9 minpg.
Scott (6’8”, 225, 11/25/96) has played in 13 games this season averaging 5.2 ppg. and 3.8 rpg. in 16.1 minpg.
