ORLANDO MAGIC’S TRISTAN DA SILVA AND MAC McCLUNG SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN 2025 CASTROL RISING STARS

Orlando, FL – Orlando Magic forward Tristan da Silva and two-way guard Mac McClung have been selected to participate in the 2025 Castrol Rising Stars, which will be played on Friday, Feb. 14 in San Francisco, California at Chase Arena as part of NBA All-Star 2025. TNT will televise the annual showcase of premier young talent at 9 p.m. ET.
Signed to a two-way contract by Orlando on Sep. 19, 2024, McClung has played and started in nine games during the regular season with Osceola of the NBA G League, averaging 23.4 ppg., 6.2 apg. and 3.0 rpg. in 33.5 minpg. He also played and started in 14 games during the NBA G League Tip-Off Tournament with Osceola, averaging 17.4 ppg., 4.7 apg. and 3.7 rpg. in 31.7 minpg. McClung has won the Slam Dunk contest at NBA All-Star Weekend in both 2023 and 2024.
The player pool for Castrol Rising Stars consists of 10 NBA rookies, 11 second-year NBA players and seven NBA G League players. The 21 NBA players, selected by NBA assistant coaches, will be drafted onto three seven-player teams (Tuesday, Feb. 4, 4 p.m. on the NBA App and @NBA social platforms). The seven NBA G League players, selected by the league office, will comprise the fourth team. New this season, the winner of the tournament will advance to play in the inaugural NBA All-Star Game tournament.
13 players have previously represented the Orlando Magic during the Rising Stars game. Past participants include: Anfernee Hardaway (1994), Mike Miller (2001, 2002), Dwight Howard (2005, 2006), Jameer Nelson (2006 out with injury), Andrew Nicholson (2013), Nikola Vučević (2013), Victor Oladipo (2014, 2015), Elfrid Payton (2015, 2016), Mario Hezonja (2016), Cole Anthony (2022), Jalen Suggs (2022), Franz Wagner (2022, 2023) and Paolo Banchero (2023, 2024).
