Magic Acquire Lakeland Native, Corey Sanders

December 12 – The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, have acquired Lakeland native, Corey Sanders. Stephen Domingo sustained a season-ending injury and Lakeland will retain his rights for the next two seasons.

  

Domingo (6-7, 215) averaged 8.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 26.8 minutes play.  He appeared in 11 games for the Magic shooting 39.1 percent from the field and 30.2 percent from the three.

 

Sanders (6-2, 181) graduated from Rutgers University and led the team in scoring as a freshman with 15.9 points per game. In 2018, Sanders joined the Rio Grande Valley Vipers before being waived following training camp. He spent the season playing overseas prior to returning home to join the Lakeland Magic.

 

Sanders will be active for the Lakeland Magic home game this Friday night, December 13 versus the Capital City Go-Go. Tip-off at the RP Funding Center is set for 7:00 pm. The game will be available on NBAGLeague.com.
