Ike Hermer
Ike Hermer serves as the Player Development Coach for the Osceola Magic, where he leads all player development projects, focusing on skill growth and game readiness. He also coordinates the stay-ready group and ensures that game plan discipline is maintained across the team.
Hermer’s coaching career began at the University of Minnesota under Richard Pitino from 2015 to 2019, where he served as Assistant Director of Player Personnel and Video Assistant, handling opponent scouting and player development alongside NBA talents Amir Coffey and Daniel Oturu.
From 2019 to 2024, he joined the University of Northern Iowa under Coach Ben Jacobson, taking on roles as Assistant Coach and Director of Basketball Operations, where he further developed players, including NBA standout AJ Green.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Carlson School of Management and a Master’s Degree in Sport & Exercise Science, both from the University of Minnesota. Hermer’s achievements include two NCAA Tournament Appearances with Minnesota, one NIT Tournament Appearance with Northern Iowa, and two MVC Regular Season Championships.
